Facing Your Giants: Everyone faces giants. When David stood before Goliath, everyone else saw an unbeatable giant. They measured Goliath by his height, his armor, and his experience. David measured him by God's power. David didn't win because he was the biggest, the strongest, or the most qualified. He won because he remembered what God had already done. Before facing Goliath, David recalled the lion and the bear. His private victories prepared him for his public battle. Sometimes we ask God to remove the giant, but God wants to remind us of what He's already brought us through. The same God who was faithful yesterday is faithful today. Remember David didn't wear Saul's armor, he refused to fight someone else's battle using someone else's methods. He used what God had placed in his hands, a sling, five smooth stones, and unwavering faith. Goliath mocked David, but David didn't let the giant define the outcome. Faith doesn't deny that giants are real, it declares that God is greater. Your giant may look intimidating today, but remember this: the bigger the giant, the greater the testimony when God brings the victory. Walk into your battles with confidence, not because you know you'll never struggle, but because you know Who walks with you.
