Even If

Even If: Faith is easy when everything is going the way we hoped. But “even if” faith is different. It says, “God, even if You don’t answer the way I want, even if the situation doesn’t change, even if I have to walk through the fire, I will still trust You.” In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced a fiery furnace because they refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar’s image. They knew God had the power to rescue them, but their faith wasn’t dependent on being rescued. They declared that God could deliver them, “But even if He does not,” they still would not bow. That is powerful faith. Sometimes we pray believing God will change the situation. We believe He will open the door, provide the healing, restore the relationship, answer the prayer, or remove the difficulty. But what happens when He doesn’t do it the way we expected?  Maybe you're facing your own fiery furnace today. Remember, your faith is not based on what God does; it is rooted in who God is. He is faithful when the answer is yes. He is faithful when the answer is no. And He is faithful when the answer is not yet.
